The Smartphone Showdown – Jose’s iPhone vs. Eric’s 8525
Come out to Poor Richards (campus) [map] on July 17th at 7pm for a historic battle… of phones.
That’s correct! Jose’s shiny new iPhone faces off against Eric’s AT&T 8525. It will be a match testing and stressing the features of both phones and Jose and Eric’s thumbs.

Well, I’m not sure if the OpenMoku phone I ordered yesterday will have arrived in time for this, but if so, I’ll bring it. Completly open and hackable (and ssh-able) phone from the linux kernel patches up to the GUI and back down to the GPS and GSM daemons. I plan to port Debian to it. Really.
Joey…
I’d LOVE to see it. I’ve done a good bit of reading about the OpenMoku this morning.
From a professional productivity perspective I (and several others noted in my posts and comments) gotta go with the 8525.
I win!
my phone wins.
The video I recorded during the demonstration 2nite is up at youtube.com/EricTheRedAndBlack. Uploaded from my 8525. Feel free to pull it as a new post, Austin. Can’t wait to see the vid from nose’s iPhone.
