GeekSouth Dinner 1.31.06 (UPDATE)

GeekSouth Dinner January 31st 7pm at Pacific Grill in Kingsport TN

Well folks the GeekSouth dinner is descending upon us rapidly and as Hannibal from the A-Team used to say,”I just love it when a plan come together”.  So far we have quite a few folks signed up on the writeboard and in the forum.  If you are a bit uneasy about signing up on the writeboard (password: pacific) or in the forum simply click on the comments button below and sign up here.  We want a rough idea of people so we can get the tasty appetizers in order.

Some new items to note

Hugh Macleod from gapingvoid  and Stormhoek wines have offered to send us some samples for our gathering.  Stormhoek is building marketing buzz using bloggers and doing some very interesting disruptive tactics.  Read the whole story here at gapingvoid.  And then I posted a bit on Stormhoek a while back at thinkjose.  The whole thing is a very cool story on how blogging is starting true global conversations for a microbrand in a more focused way.  Thanks to Hugh and Stormhoek for supplying us with some beverage goodness but also for allowing us to be a part of a new wave of marketing.

The Pacific Grill address is 453 E Main St, Kingsport, TN and the Google map is here. Thanks Tim

Tim Siglin has offered to talk about a few of the goodies from MacWorld and I have a few folks that will share some items from CES.

Some of the orginizations that have folks coming include Knetic, NETTC, generatioNext, and thank to Meet the Geeks out of Asheville for their support.

Here is the link with all the gory details on the GeekSouth dinner.

Thanks to all for your help and I look forward to seeing you all there.
